Starting Trim Healthy Mama

Well, it looks like we will be jumping on the train with everyone else and starting the THM plan. I ordered our book a couple of days ago but it won't be here for a couple of weeks. In the meantime I have been furiously studying recipes and parts of the plan that you can get from various blogs and Facebook groups. I joined the Beginners Facebook group and have already learned a ton. I think we (me and Grace) will start this week with getting the breakfast meals and snacks on track. This gives us time to get comfortable with the plan and use up some of the food items we already have here in the house. Then we will slowly start adding everything else into the mix of the next 3-4 weeks. It takes a lot of planning and educating yourself with the plan. It also take a complete overhaul of what your typical family has in their fridge and pantry. I have already started a huge list on my Amazon account of items we need to purchase. Thursday while I am in town I will take this list and do some comparison shopping at Walmart and Ingles to see just who has the best prices. I have never been a fan of Stevia but it looks like I will need to adjust. We are both hoping for a 20 pound loss over maybe 4-6 months. Wish us luck! Although I really shouldn't say that because I do not believe in luck. So maybe your prayers for wisdom and  peace with a lifestyle change that has needed to happen for a good little while.

THM rocks, Diane! Down two sized in five weeks--of course, I had a LOT of weight to lose--still do. It is really much easier than you think to do. I even figured out how to THM while working at a pizza place. ;)
I feel so much better overall, and that is what really sells me on this. There are so many amazing recipes--just get really cozy with your blender and food processor. Mine have left retirement under the counter and are now used daily.
