Grace spent a good bit of time this week working on her short novel/graphic novel. I am pleasantly surprised to see her stick with it. She has also illustrated a few of the characters and we have talked about who the antagonist, etc. are going to be in the story. I am also thrilled about the fact that she is now doing her Algebra completely independently. She reads the instructions for the new lesson and then does the lesson on her own. This is a huge step for her. Now that she feels more comfortable with Algebra, I wouldn't say she enjoys it, but at least no grumbling about getting it done. What used to take a good hour or more gets whipped out in 30 minutes. Going to the gym continues to take up a good part of the week with 3-4 trips for about 1 1/2 hours each time. We attended a great Super Bowl party on Sunday evening with our small group. Lots of good food and fellowship. I think, even though Grace and one other teenage girl are the only young folks attending, that she is getting a lot out of this small group.
