What I Did on July 4th

Around here it was definitely an atypical July 4th. The weather shut everything down. Rain for three days straight and more to come. This made the fireworks in town go away, a party we were invited to got rescheduled for the weekend, and we were broke to boot. So it was a stay at home, boring kind of day. I decided to make the best of it and get some planning stuff crossed off my every growing list. Yesterday I was able to finish all of the preplanning for Grace's 9th grade school year. If you have made it this long you are a true bloggy friend. Mostly I posted this myself to keep me accountable. Now that all of Grace's lessons are planned for the next year I need to move on to planning for the four classes I will be teaching at the Cooperative starting in August. I need to plan for:

  • Fun with Literature (using what I learned from Teaching the Classics)
  • Yearbook Staff (using Picaboo Yearbooks/Memory Books)
  • Puppetry Arts
  • Elementary Art (using DVD lessons from See the Light)

Yes rain shut down everything here too! Do you remember 4th of July at Pt Mallard? :) I think they did shoot the fireworks but the grounds were underwater! We stayed home.

Grace's year looks amazing. Keilee has already started back. She was raring to go. I am teaching 2 classes in our Co-op too. First time ever! I have half way planned but I need to do more! Happy weekend Diane!

I love following along with your planning. I am still on "vacation" and I will begin in earnest Monday! I have many thoughts and some things planned but nothing finalized yet......

I am working on Virginia's but you're way ahead of me. I am interested in the King Alfred's English. Looks really good.
