Binders - A Homeschool Mother's Friend

I need to form a group. My name is Diane and I am a binder junkie. Many of my binders have printed lapbooks, books, etc. that I have purchased over the years.

The one problem I run in to is that I haven't found a binder big enough yet. I have so much material to print and not enough space to store it. I am one of "those" that wants to be prepared for all things. One of those "things" is, what happens if one day no one has electricity anymore. If all of my educational materials are in a flash drive or on the laptop, then everything is lost. So this is my way if giving myself a peace of mind about the whole situation, if it were to ever occur.
Recently I started a new binder that keeps my life straight. I either head up or belong to many organizations. It was getting to the point that I had papers everywhere and no real system to keep it all together. I am very "old school" and like to see paper, not look at things on the computer. So lots of stuff gets printed out. The first section in my new binder is for everything related to the reviews I do. The very first page is hand written and has the vendors and dates I need at a glance so that nothing is missed.

Next is my volunteer section. All my information for prison ministry and the youth service organization I head up go here.

Third section is information for upcoming homeschool conventions and conferences. I am volunteering this year with the GHEA state convention and will soon be filling this section with all my materials and to do lists. I asked my husband last night about going to Greenville to the big homeschool convention just me and him as a getaway, and he said yes. I am very excited about that. I have included my print out of all the workshops/seminars that will be available.

Next is my cooperative classes that I teach. Above you see the free Lego Class information that Mary from Homegrown Learners put out a few months ago. I also have a couple of sections that I didn't take pictures of with printouts about future classes I want to teach to Grace.

Oh, I love binders. I have them all over. Not many of them are very full of anything useful, unfortunately, but I'm always tempted to buy more when I go to my local office supply store haha.

Maybe I need to join your Binders Anonymous group...

I'm working on making all these binders functional. I love the idea of printing out resources. I might actually USE some of them, if I did that. .... maybe. ;) Thanks for sharing!

I have more than my fair share of binders, too! I don't know how I'd keep things organized without them!
